In this topic I'd like to discuss our ideas around the Cookbook. We highly appreciate any feedback / thoughts on our plans, both positive as well as negative.
Currently, we are working hard on the creation of our Cookbook, which is our educational platform that helps people to get started with using the network and building (basic) applications. The Cookbook contains of recipes like: how to set-up a Kerlink gateway, how to use OTAA and how to send data over the network using a Sodaq Autonomo.
Apart from the recipes that we will provide, we want to include two other elements: Groups and Stories. Below our proposal, please share your thoughts on this.
Groups
The goal of the Groups is sharing experiences and knowledge.
Currently, we have a lot of communities that are organized around a shared geographical location (like http://thethingsnetwork.org/c/zurich/). Groups are communities of people that do not share a location, but they share an interest, expertise or job.
Groups can be formed around a different topics like:
- A specific use case (air quality monitoring / asset tracking)
- An expertise (specific types of sensors / cloud platforms / data visualization)
- Jobs / roles (community initiators / business developers / UX designers)
- Events (hackathons)

Stories
Stories are around applications, use cases and project that are built on top of/around our network. Some examples:
- Bike tracking application
- Smart parking solution
- DIY gateway
What are examples of specific stories you would like to share?
What level of detail you want? Just a small story with a photo, or a detailed tutorial for others to reproduce?
