I noticed too, but the nice thing is it seems like its flying now 
Last weeks performance became worse, but somehow it seems to have improved since yesterday, not sure if it is related. I saw mention of caching improvent by Martijn / @turiphro on Slack.
Of course we would like to have both: a fast API that looks nice in a browser.
