It seems this API is getting popular as the response times on the nodes API is currently about 25 seconds, also the gateways statusses have not been updated since about 23-11 17:27:37.
I know this is a temporary solution to facilitate developers, but it would be nice to have it working and workable 
.
Maybe have some monitoring and alerting set up so we can react quickly in case something goes haywire. (I don't expect fast responses during X-mas
