Understanding the network functioning

Hello!

I am trying to understand the full operation of the network and how the devices work within this network. My plans are to start a TTN service in my city. Let me see if I understood everything. Please correct me if something is wrong!

As I understand, first of all I need a gateway. Pretending I just bought one and intend to put it in the city's main square. I need at least one ethernet cable and an internet subscription, so I can plug the cable in the gateway and provide internet to it, right? So, to provide a network with internet access to the future devices, I need to pay an internet subscription for that gateway.

With gateway plugged to the internet, now I have to configure the gateway to talk to one of your routers, right? All this accomplished, my clients (nodes) can now send packets to the gateway which, in turn, will send the packets via internet to your router and after that to the broker, handler, and to the application. The app will process the data and can send, for example and SMS to some cel phone, or it can send information back via handler, broker, TTN router, my gateway which, in turn, will send the result back to the client that sent the packet in first place or to some second client for example.

So, I can have all those options:

Node1 --> Gateway <--> TTN router <--> Broker <--> Handler <--> App --> (ex. SMS)

Node1 <--> Gateway <--> TTN router <--> Broker <--> Handler <--> App

Node1 ---> Gateway <--> TTN router <--> Broker <--> Handler <--> App
Node2 <----|

Thank you very much!!
Cheers!
