NFC/RFID tag on Kickstarter the Things Node?

Very good, than you'll manage to find the right applications to measure things that you really can act upon. My concern is that people are aware that they must have access to the right domain knowledge before embarking on making products for a sector.
For example, it may sound sensible to measure the moisture levels in your potato field, but if the available irrigation water is contaminated with disease inducing bacteria, this information is useless. (I have worked in agro research in the 70s and 80s of last century. Besides as a hobby I still do a bit of farming on a 1 ha lot)
