The LoPy on The Things Network

Hello,

First of all I wanted to congratulate the creators of the things network for this awesome project! Well done

My name is Daniel Campora, one of the creators of the WiPy and the LoPy which is now running on Kickstarter. I joined the forum a few days ago but we have been so overwhelmed running the campaign that haven't been able to post here before to say hello and introduce myself

I am part of the team at Pycom where we design and manufacture connectivity modules that run MicroPython. If you've never heard of it, MicroPython is a lean and mean re-implementation of Python 3, specifically optimized in terms of speed and memory to run very efficiently on modern microcontrollers. This means you can write your entire embedded application in Python and take advantage of rapid development benefits, high expressive syntax and high level abstraction. We brought all this magic to WiFi last year and this time we are doing with LoRa.

I know that many are wondering how the LoPy will work with The Things Network, therefore I wanted to say that we will make sure that the LoPy plays nice out of the box with TTN and we will be performing extensive tests both in Amsterdam and Eindhoven. I'll come back with more updates soon!

Thanks!

Cheers,
Daniel
