I just received your shield, and got it working in like 5 minutes, and it has succesfully sent some packets over The Things Network 
One note: I think it's better to also break out at least also the DIO5 pin (my code uses it for detecting ModeReady after setting mode registers (standby/loramode/sleep/etc) ) .. now I used some ugly delay() to fix that, or, of course I can solder the pin with a jumper wire
